BADDOW LEADS WAY IN JUNIOR COACHING

BVTTC's newest venture, Cathedral Coaching, is going great guns. As they say, 'every picture tells a story'; and we think the pictures below tell a story of remarkable achievement by the Clubs 3 ETTA qualified coaches, Adrian Pitt, Neil Gooday and Jon Hill. You can find out more about junior coaching from the Club Info page. Junior coaching is based at The Cathedral School in Victoria Road, Chelmsford on Friday evenings. There are 2 sessions one for beginners and one for improvers. For more information contact Adrian, Neil or Jon  you can find telephone numbers from the Contacts Page under Club Info.

That's the way to do it!

Coach, Neil Gooday, demonstrating good backhand technique.
This is part of the Dunlop Skills Award programme that all juniors attending Cathedral Coaching follow.

Girls Shine!

Not wishing to be outdone by their brothers Rebecca Skeoch and Megan Vansertima, 2 of the newest recruits to Cathedral Coaching, join Hannah Pitt in showing that girls are just as important as the boys, and just as able to play the game of table tennis

Real Concentration!

Martin Chattey shows real concentration as he practices a good 'ready' position whilst working on his backhand.
And in the background Coach Jon Hill explains to Tom Miles the technique for the perfect backhand loop - one of the hardest shots to master.

Keep Your Eye on the Ball!

Dylan Robin-Coker is learning the basic techniques of serving. He recently put these to very good effect in making his debut in the Chelmsford League Introductory competition, CLICK - designed specially for people coming new into table tennis. In his first match Dylan won both of his singles games helping his team, Baddow Cathedral B to a 5:0 victory over
Ingatestone Boys Club C.

New Beginnings!

Michael Wheldale
represents a growing group of complete beginners who have taken up
table tennis since Cathedral Coaching
started last September.
He is now fast on his way to his first Dunlop Skills Award, the 'Rookie' badge, which his older brother Patrick has just earned.
