DINNER SPRINGS SURPRISES

The annual Club Dinner, held at the Green Dragon, Great Leighs, was full of surprises! 27 members and their guests enjoyed a great night out. Good food, good company, what more can one ask. But there was more, at least for one Baddow member. For retiring Club Secretary the occasion marked a celebration for that big 50 occasion. And members had decided to let the occasion be known in style. Part way through a very enjoyable evening, a giant chocolate birthday cake 'appeared' - the creation of deputy Social Secretary Diane Pitt - brilliantly decorated with smarties and candles! Yes, it was that large! There was no hiding for a rather embarrassed Club Secretary as he accepted the very kind thought. A selection of pictures from the evening are shown below.

Good conversation, good company and good food were the pattern for the Club Dinner

How many table tennis players does it take to cut a birthday cake? Several it seems as Adrian and Diane, help Graham's wife Shirley  cut the cake

It was a delight to have the company of former Club Chairman Ted Harris and his wife at the Dinner

Neil and Michelle at least seem to have been enjoying themselves

More happy diners!
