A NIGHT FOR CELEBRATION!

Whilst Americans were celebrating their Independence Day, members of BVTTC were celebrating the 4th July in a quite different way. Around 30 members together with about 20 children turned out for the Club's opening night at the  Melbourne Athletic Stadium, Salerno Way, Chelmsford. Around 20 juniors attended the first coaching sessions at the new venue with 8 tables in use for the two 1hr sessions. A further 6 tables were fully occupied by Club members and their guests throughout the 3 hour session. And it is hoped that in the not too distant future a further 4 to 6 tables can be added. What a party night it was. The surrounds are spacious, modern and quite magnificent. The artificial surface plays extremely well, with good bounce and speed and plenty of room. And the small refreshments area seemed to be working overtime. All in all a great night and a first class stage on which the Club can continue to develop its policy of making table tennis available and attractive to anyone who would wish to play or try it.

The pictures below give a little flavour of the opening story.

Members get the tables prepared for opening night on 4th July. The space and lighting are first class.
Well worth a visit.
