SILVER SUCCESS

Table tennis truly is an all inclusive sport! And Baddow Village Table Tennis Club typifies that inclusiveness, encouraging people of all ages and abilities to get involved in table tennis.

At the recent National Championships for Disabilities held at Grantham over the weekend 13/14 September, Jackie Smith, who has been attending Friday coaching sessions since they opened at Melbourne, showed just what progress she has made in the sport. With her playing partner Paula Latham, Jackie came home with the Silver Medal for the Ladies Doubles. A medal she was very proud to display to the many young people present at the next coaching session on the following Friday! A brilliant achievement.

Jackie also attends a special table tennis coaching session on Saturday mornings at Melbourne for people with disabilities.

With coach Neil Gooday, Jackie proudly displays her silver medal, won at the recent National Championships for Disabilities.

Success is not new to those attending
BVTTC coaching sessions, as other recent News Stories on this site show,
but Jackie stands alone in her
National success.
And the Silver Medal award that she
proudly wears tells its own story of her determination and enthusiasm for the sport of table tennis
