JUNIORS REPRESENT LEAGUE

Club Members, 15 year old Laura Pyman and 10 year old Hannah Pitt, both played major roles as part of the victorious Chelmsford Junior Girls team that won the girls division of the National Junior League over the last weekend. A full report can be found on the Chelmsford League web-site. For both girls this was their first full season competing at this level and both did extremely well. Laura winning 22 out of her 24 games, the second best performance amongst the four Chelmsford girls. And Hannah achieved an excellent 8 wins out of 14 games - not bad at all at 10!

The Club were also delighted that a number of its junior boys were also able to represent Chelmsford in the boys division of the National Junior League getting a taste of competition at higher levels. 18 year old (just!) Ryan and brother 12 year old Adam played as members of the A team, where Ryan won 23 out of 36 games, taking part in all of the teams matches along with Simon Webber (ECC). The Chelmsford B team was all Baddow boys, including Steve Clift, Haydn Upson, Rykki Vansertima, Sam Pitt and Phil Twite. Although they struggled a little bit at this higher level they gave a very good account of themselves against some tough opposition winning 4 matches and drawing 4 more.
