EFFORT REWARDED

The first half of 2004 has been a very busy period for Club Member Jacqueline Smith. Jacqui, who has been one of the most regular attenders at Friday evening coaching sessions since the Club moved into the Melbourne Athletic Stadium last year, is regularly selected to compete in events and tournaments run by the British Table Tennis Association for Disabled People. And as our picture shows she is having tremendous success! To show some of the younger members attending coaching just what is possible Jacqui was asked to bring along her collection of medals - just those gained so far this year! Didn't she do well! And her most recent trophy has been in the European Games held in Parthenay in France on the 19 June. Jacqui was in the England Ladies team that gained the Bronze Medal! An exceptional achievement.
