It wasn't long ago that the Club
announced that it had successfully achieved its Clubmark
accreditation (see News Stories 18
September). Well now we have more news! An application
by Development Officer Ryan Pitt to "sportessex",
part of the Essex Development & Regeneration Agency, has
led to the Club receiving a further certificate of
accreditation. This is an accreditation under the Essex
County Council Club sx scheme. This enables the Club to be
included in the directory of ClubSX clubs on the ECC and
sportessex websites. Club SX is a new accreditation scheme
for sports clubs in Essex. It has been designed to recognise
high quality clubs within the county and acts as a stepping
stone to governing body/Active Sports accreditation schemes.
Baddow Village is the first table tennis club in Essex to
receive this recognition. It is quite a privilege for the
Club to achieve these levels of recognition. We are
recognised by our governing body as an ETTA PremierClub
at Advanced level, we have gained Clubmark accreditation and
now ClubSX recognition. That's not a bad achievement for
2006. Well done Ryan for putting the Club forward and
providing the necessary evidence to support the application
for accreditation.
