Club Chairman, Graham Turner,
made his last appearance at Club Night on Friday 2 February.
After being a member of the Club for some 17 years, serving
as a committee member, treasurer, secretary and finally as
chairman Graham is moving on! As a result of work relocation
Graham together with his wife and Damien (also a club
member) will be moving to the North West and making their
home in Liverpool. The move taking place on 8th February.
Colin Gooday, at present the
Club Auditor, has agreed to stand in as acting Chairman
until the next AGM when a new Chairman can be elected.
Colin's appointment as acting Chairman having been approved
by the Club Management Committee.
Although it was mostly
business as usual for Graham on Friday, there was a brief
pause in proceedings when Club Secretary Adrian Pitt, made a
short presentation recognising Graham's service to the Club.
In accepting the gift of a Multi-Media Digital Photo Display
- and some pictures from Club Night to accompany it - Graham
said it had been a joy to serve the Club which had given him
many years of very happy sport. He thanked members for their
loyalty and support and wished them well for the future.
Graham said he believed BVTTC was a great club in the midst
of very exciting times and that members should be thrilled
to be associated with it at this time.

been one of the new regulars at Friday Night Club
Night since the Club moved to Melbourne in 2003. Just
one of a number of newcomers that have been attracted
into table tennis since the Club has been able to
offer the much improved facilities at Melbourne. |
